I played a couple of impromptu songs at a house gig in York tonight.....
It got me thinking. I wish there were more House Concerts in the UK.
If you don't know what a house gig is, it's a gig that you have in your house. (It can be unplugged or plugged in).You ask your favourite artist, artists to come and play. They say yes! Then you invite your friends along, and they say, wow that's different, yes please! Then they pay a donation each which goes towards the fee for the artist. And wham bam thank you mam, you have a unique night, that is great for artist, audience and you!
I mean, there's only so many dinners, pub outings you can go to, why not do something different that your friends will remember for always?
Maybe consider it? There's many many artists that love house concerts and they are waiting for you to ask them to come to your house. Honestly. :)
